Separate Diaries |
| |
Sally
keeps a separate diary for the Rising Fives group, for which
she is secretary. Laurence
has a “Gardening Year” diary which he uses to plan
his work in the garden. |
| |
|
 |
ALL diary
The ALL diary is used for
events that apply to all or any member of a group or family. |
| |
Katie's birthday,
for example, shows up for all the Nelsons.
See The Birth |
| |
|
 |
Multiple Views
The diary is viewable in a variety of formats. |
| |
Sally
and Dave check the weekly view. See Back
to Work
They use the yearly view to find a suitable date for their
annual holiday. See Booking
the Holiday
The family consult the hourly view on the day before Jack
and Edie's Golden Wedding party. See The
Day Before |

|
 |
Journals
Users can keep both private
and public daily journals. As the name implies, public journals
can be viewed by any LifeThemes user. Private journals are not
visible to anyone else. |
 |
Tara
keeps her notes about Jason in a private journal. |
| |
|
 |
Private Entries Users
can keep individual diary entries private by either marking
them as not visible to anyone else (i.e. you appear to be free)
or to substitute a different text so 'Dad's surprise party!'
could be shown as 'Theatre trip'. |
| |
|
 |
Work/Non-work Days For
each personal diary LifeThemes identifies working/non-working
(or school/non-school) days with a shaded background enabling
you to see at a glance where your leisure time is. All you need
to do it tell LifeThemes your working day patterns.
|
| |
Sally
and Dave get an overview of the day ahead. See Back
to Work |

Entry Categories LifeThemes
comes with a comprehensive list of diary entry categories to
cover most event and appointment types, so all you have to do
is choose.
If you need a special category that's not on the standard list
you can easily add it. LifeThemes 'Autotext' feature can
generate entries using category data and the list of persons
and places you select, reducing your typing to a minimum. |
| |
Katie's growth and development
are recorded with the help of categories that identify milestones. |
| |
|
 |
Prioritised Entries
Entries can be identified as 'routine', 'provisional' or 'confirmed'
and given a normal or high priority.
Users can easily filter the display to exclude 'routine' or
'provisional' entries in order to highlight more important
entries. |
| |
Ben marks his swimming training
sessions as “routine” - they can be filtered in
and out of his (and the family's) view of the diary.
|
| |
|
 |
Notes and Additional Information
Selected categories of entry are identified as needing additional
or 'follow up' information. This might include stats from
a fitness training session, weight lost (or gained!) at a
diet club meeting or a review of an event or a theatre or
cinema visit. Once the finish date/time of the entry has passed
the LifeMonitor automatically requests this information from
you the next time you sign in. |
| |
Ben attends regular swim training,
and he uses ¿routineî diary entries to log the stats from each
session in LifeThemes enabling him to look back at his progress.
|
| |
|
 |
Repeating Entries
Entries which repeat at daily, weekly, monthly or yearly intervals
can be entered and are made all the more useable because LifeThemes
allows you to easily indicate exceptions to the repeat rule
e.g. “this week our regular office meeting is on Wednesday
instead of Thursday”. |
| |
Repeat entries
are generated automatically by the system to ensure that Katie's
birthday shows up every year. See The
Birth. |
| |
|
 |
LifeLine entries identified
Entry categories can be tagged as “LifeLine” events
so they will automatically appear on the LifeLine. |
| |
Katie's first
steps are recorded using a special diary entry category reserved
for such important events! See Growth
and Development |
| |
|
 |
Multiple/Individual Diary Handling
LifeThemes can show any number
of diaries at one time in all the views. You just select the
ones you want to view by ticking them off on a list.
|
| |
Dave
checks the diaries of all family members to find a good time
to book a family holiday. See Booking
the Holiday
Sally and Dave look at their combined diaries to organise
childcare. See Back
to Work |
| |
|
 |
Links to Media
Any media items such as pictures, documents, associated with
a diary entry can be linked to it and displayed. This enables
you to attach a scanned copy of a map or some meeting notes
either as a scanned image or as a word document or spreadsheet
file. |
| |
Sally links
a price quote for party equipment to a diary entry.
See The
Day Before |
| |
|
 |
Reminders (ie LifeMonitor)
Reminders can be set for any entry in the diary. Alarms can
be set for a variety of intervals before the start date/time
of the entry. |
| |
Before their
holiday, the Nelsons receive last-minute
reminders |
